Walking through Costco yesterday I saw they have a HO Sports GTX 4 person towable for $169.99. It appears the GT line must be a Costco specific towable as I don't see them on the HO website. The few sites I've found would appear to be reselling them. Saw last year they had a GT-3.

General question is about the quality of HO tubes, any thoughts?

I'd been looking at getting a SuperMable but the Costco 1 year guarantee is a big plus and its about $100 cheaper then a SuperMable.

We had a Formula 3 tube (3 person) last year and all I have to say they are big!! 8 ft wide and a pain to deflat and try to re-store. I called HO in Redmond and they let me swap it out for the Formula 2 and a 1 man tube. Good news I didn't lose any money on the total transaction. :)

Here is my story on not losing any money on the transaction:

The Formula 3 was free on Craigslist. Some guy was to lazy to fix the zipper and I took it to HO in Redmond and they gave me brand new one. However after using the new Formula 3 we just decided it was way to big. We have 2 boys and they just like to cruise in tubes so no need for such a huge tube. If you want to get after some fun in the tube the Formula 2 has been great for adults. :)

All I have to say is HO is a GREAT company!

Hope this helps.

We too saw that at Costco and are thinking about it. Right now we have an old style tube one lays flat on to "ride". Think this will work for 1 or 2 or 3 riders as well as four as advertised? Yeah HO is right down the street from me...great compnay to deal with...

Costco here ran out, saw they had them online for $199 then found they were back in stock this weekend and picked up one. I'll report how it does, if nothing else I've got a year to take it back. Love Costco.

Update, if anyone bought one of these be ready to return it. Our's has developed a slow leak, but it becomes faster under pressure - very noticeable when you are out tubing, a good 30 minute run with 4 teens really drops the pressure.

I stopped by Costco last night since they don't have any in stock, and the online price is much higher then I paid, I was curious if they could do anything if I returned it to get me a new one. The Member Service woman informed me they have had a large number of returns and suggested I just bring it back, she described the seems breaking and other problems. As much as we love this tube I think we'll just return it and find something else.

Thankfully Costco has a great return policy.

You've gotta love the Costco return policy. We returned the tube tonight, full refund no questions asked - other then making sure the rope was returned too. They had the new model year GTX 4 person tube in for $10 more but includes a pump as well. The kids are the ones that liked the tube so much so figure we'll pick up one now and another later as a spare, and if they leak they can go back and we'll have one to finish the summer out with.
