Anyone know what makes these tools so special? I used to work a lot on manual shift equipped cars. I had an universal clutch alignment tool kit , but on the odd occasion it was not available ( usually when my brother living 100 miles away had it!), I found it just as effective to use a round section bar, with the diameter adjusted to the input shaft pilot bearing and spline diameters using insulating tape wrapped around the bar. Can't the same be done, with a bar adjusted the same way to the outdrive input shaft dimensions?
regards,
Graham
