About what price range am I looking at for installation of a new motor? I have priced a new marine motor from jasper serial # matching. For $2,300.

Unless I missed it --- what engine / drive / boat model are we talking about?
I Just went through an engine exchange/rebuild on a Volvo 5.7L this winter, so I am sort of familiar with recent prices and such.

My boat is just now back on the water.
Living in Florida my issue was an overheat issue -- not a freeze issue.

The one thing I cannot help with though is installation costs. I did all removal -- disassembly - reassembly - and installation myself.

For what its worth..10 years ago I bought a 53 For tractor that had a cracked block. I drilled divits at each end of crack to keep from spreading, used wire wheel to get down to cast and applied JB Weld over entire area..then sanded and repainted. Still running without a drip.

BUT..thats a low rpm 4 Banger motor and I had super easy access to problem area. Don't feel alone though...the boat shops have plenty in same shape I'm sure.
