I've got the VP drive 5.7 2008 and was making sure I haven't missed grease zerks during maintenance. I've found none on, under or around the drive and assumed they are all sealed?? On the trailer I found four...the crank, trailer tongue fold point and two at the pressure hitch. Anyone know of more...surely there has to be.

Winterized on veterans day while it was warm, swapped oil, fogged, drained and filled with pink so no more cranking, but can turn and trim drive if needed to access any hidden zerks.

Starboard side of the gimbal housing should have a zerk for the gimbal bearing.

If you have a Four Winns trailer you likely have Super Lube axle hubs. Pull the rubber cap off of the dust covers and you should see a zerk. This will push grease from behind the inner bearing outward.

Well I guess my model has none on the drive unless its invisible. I looked with shop light all around and inside gaps while turned hard port and starboard.

I did take off transom straps that wouldn't auto retract. Cleaned and oiled them up and they zipped right back in place and worked awesome....on the bench...once reinstalled they wouldn't auto retract. What the hell! So I now have cleaned and oiled straps that I still have to manually crank.

I did see its time for new bunks come first splash next season. I will get them made up so all I have to do is swap them out.

The zerk for the gimbal bearing is indeed hidden. Right-hand side of the drive, but not on the drive itself; it's in a recess in the transom shield, right up against the transom. It's best to grease it while the engine is idling, but anytime is better than never. Stop pumping immediately when resistance is felt in the gun.
