In order to get the ignition to 'base timing mode' or whatever there is a $13 jumper they sell to plug into the distributer (shunt I think they call it)

Has anyone made one or have the information to diy one? don't mind spending to money so much as waiting for it to be delivered.....

another thought....may the local auto parts store have one? is it the same as an automotive version.

And a general engine question.....what changes in the motor requiring the timing to be adjusted, simple as wear and tear? My little rat brain thinks once its set at the factory not much can change (assuming nobody **f'd with it in the first place.
