| Post subject: | Outdrive Maintenance |
First boat for me, I am doing my first winterization. What do i need for the drives. I did rebuild the trim cylinders and changed drive oil and greased shafts at start of season. I would like to go thru drives, by pulling them. And i want to change all the bellows and any other maintenance item. What bellows should i get? I see Sierra makes a kit with everything. I like VP do they have a kit? What about alingment tool? |

I got the VP bellows kit. Do they make a service kit? I still want to pull my drives, and go thru them if there is any preventive maintenance type parts. I bought an alignment bar and will be doing that. I also will be pressure & vaccum testing my drives. I will check and grease the u joints, plus I will be re-doing the crappy factory grease zerk. It would be nice if VP had a service kit with all the required parts: O-rings, gaskets, etc.. I have 2 DPSM 1.95 duoprops. |
