Boat Specs 1988 Horizon 200 OMC Cobra
Orignially had a 5.0l that froze in it. It was replaced with a 5.7l.

Ok so on my maiden voyage the boat planed(sp?) faster than anyother boat I have driven. It also topped out at only 35 mph (on the speedo) and 2900 rpms. I could not see what the pitch was on the prop before heading out but now it is cleaned off. I went out and just looked and the prop that is on it is a 15X17. Is this right? I figured it would be a 15X19 or 191/2. What do you guys think? The motor sounded good. Is this the source of my low rpms?

Thanks as always.

Edit. I have done a bunch more reading and I think I am incorrect about the prop being the problem. It may have something to do with it, but I am thinking the guage must be off.
