I have noticed that my loaded trailer is exceptionally loud, squeaking at low speeds, tiny bumps, on the launch ramp, and off. I always just attributed it to the suspension and have found no problems with the leaflets - thought this was just normal. Problem is that other boats' trailers seem much quieter. I am not clunking, my brakes seem to be fine, and this sound occurs going up and down and on flat ground, and regardless of braking or accelerating. In fact I can elicit some squeaking while walking on the boat while it is in the trailer at rest in the driveway. Do I have anything to be concerned about? Should I grease anything like the spring leaflets?

I sometimes have the same problem. Use WD40 on every part of the trailer suspension that moves. Spray both sides (inboard and outboard) of each connection between the trailer frame and the springs, and the connections between the springs and the axle. This cured my squeaks for about two years.

Fluid film works much better to spray down your trailer. I do mine twice a year. I started using it for all my snow plow trucks and Equimpment.

WD is just a moisture displaced, you need lubrication, get an oil can that squirts and squirt motor oil between the leaves, the coat with a rust inhibitor like Fluid Film or Corrosion X....
