I did the rebuild the old trailer routine over the past 11 years, I have replaced the axle, springs, added brakes, added rollers, put on a longer tongue, longer roller bars, replaced lights 2x, rewired the whole thing and added ground straps; the only parts that are original are the frame rails, cross members and winch post. Like the story of my grandfathers' axe LOL. Next time I am buying new. It would have been the same money in the end, and I would have had a 2003 trailer instead of a 1994 like I do. Fortunately the Load Rite galvanizing was very good, the frame is still solid even after close to 20 years of salt water use. One good thing is I learned how to fix just about everything that goes wrong with a trailer. I discovered that the only things you can't buy for a trailer from the manufacturer, is the frame rails, you can buy the cross members and everything else. Probably because the ID plate is on one of the rails. If the frame rots on this one I'll just buy a used frame and figure out how to transfer the ID plate, or get it re-stamped. As it is you can't even read the OE one LOL....
