+1. I still keep extra sheer pins in the truck though...

I have a 2003 Sundowner 245 and need to replace a toasted jack.

If I understand correctly, I can buy the weld-on version of the F2 and simply attach it to the welded on factory mount of the Four Winns painted trailer?

Thanks. The first of many mods to a recently acquired boat and trailer that have not been taken care of...

No. You'll have to cut the factory plate off, then have the (optional) Fulton plate welded on. Or, just use u-bolts to mount the F2.

The Fulton jacks are a POS!!!!!!!! I've bought 2 the past year--first one lasted a month, the second, less than 1 season......they are garbage!!!!!!!
Does anyone know of a better brand to buy? For most of this season, I used my car hydraulic jack to lift the trailer tongue and lower onto the hitch--a pain, yes, but I did not want to spent another 79.95 for a jack that may last only a month!
How many more boaters have had bad luck with the newer Fulton Jacks?? BTW, the first Fulton jack replaced the ORIGINAL 1996 jack that came with my boat!!!! That one lasted 14 years!! (4 Winns trailer)

My F2 is still going strong.....

By the way, in ref to the earier post on mounting, I purchased the weld-on style and made my own mounting plate, then welded that to the original welded on mount (the F2 bolts are too wide for the original mount). These pics were posted before, but here they are again.
