I had asked about these and some said they work good and some said not. Well for the price I did buy a set and used them last weekend when I picked my boat up from storage and I must say they do help. They keep the vehicle lever with boat hooked up and they do prevent the rear from doing to much extra bouncing. If you are using an SUV to tow with and get sag when towing they are well worth the $80.00. Also as a side effect if you pump them up about half pressure even when not towing the seem to add some extra stiffness to side roll when cornering while yet still provinding a comfortable ride. Just thought I would share how they worked for me. Not a long term solution for towing a heavy boat, but will get me by until we can afford a bigger truck. We only haul a very short distance tot he launch (about 3 miles each way) so I would not advise these be used to compensate for an under rated vehicle. My vehicle is rated to pull my boat, but I know I could use more if I wanted to go long distance.

Glad to hear you are liking them. I put them on about 2 months ago, and never got a chance to tow with them. I took them off before I sold my Durango. $80 down the drain.

Why not put them up for sale in the buy/sell forum? Are they re-usable?

I thought about it.

It was a major PITA to install the bags, and I ended up just quickly cutting them out. I was in a rush when I took them out.

I have had air bags on our truck for at least 7 years, IMHO they are a must for a tow vehicle. You can customize the ride to your liking, depending on what your towing/hauling from 500 lbs to 4000 lbs.

My other recommendation is bilstien shocks.

I did install Bilstien shocks as well at the same time on all 4 corners of the truck. Going from factory shocks with 114,000 miles on them to Bilstiens is an amazing difference.

Nice follow up...I put the Air Lifts on my old 98 Jeep Grand Cherokee along with the Bilstein high pressure monotube shocks and it's probably the best combination you can have for a light duty tow vehicle...eventually I pland to add them to our 07 Grand Cherokee Limited 5.7 as well....
