Does anyone know where I can purchase a set of "clear" Turbo Lube Hub Caps without buying the whole hub kit? Which style is better, Top Fill or Front Fill? I've got the "black" Front-Fill style and have to remove the rubber plug to inspect the oil and that's a real pain.

Westmarine has them for $11.99 Trailer parts superstore has them for $8.99 I was thinking of changing mine too. I think FourWinns paints them black. Looks nice matches trailer but from a maintance point of view makes more sense if they are clear. I think I might try to see how hard it is to get paint off them.

Let me know after you change them if you had any problems. seems like it should be real simple.

Black Turbo lube hubs cover for FW trailer are not painted…. I believe they only have clear version with top fill for larger bearings…… Top fill cap is prone to get loose (and leak) due to rotating force so the manufacture is pushing for front fill version.. However, I think they only make solid black front fill version and not clear one for large hubs such as FW trailer. There is clear front fill cap exist but it is for smaller bearing cap so be careful when you order it.
IF you get a clear one which work for our trailer I like to know as well.

I just received my clear, front-fill oil bath hub covers and they are a perfect replacement for the old painted ones. I'm planning to swap them out this weekend. I am really looking forward to having the ability to visually inspect the oil level and color without having to tear into them. I can't believe the freakin trailer didn't come with them in the first place!!! :x

Cost was about $8 each (my trailer needed 4) plus shipping... Cheap insurance if you ask me.

Go to the following website for a bunch of oil-bath-related questions and answers:

http://www.tiedown.com/cturboqa.html

I'm planning to put 75W90 synthetic in mine because it's readily available at Walmart and other dept stores.

Great news!... I must fellow your step if you got ones for larger bearings.
Although I have a feeling that you have smaller bearing/caps....

So I just ordered these, and they are the wrong size for my trailer. I need the larger ones. Anyone know where to get the larger ones? The ones I ordered were from trailer parts superstore
