Finally after 2 seasons decided to pull the trigger on a vehicle that will tow the boat. We have been borrowing a vehicle every time we needed to move the boat around.. Here's to boating freedom!! It's an 2007 Toyota Tundra Crew Max with the 5.7L enginge. Only 46000 km on it and it was plated at the end of that model year

Nice looking ride!

I'm very interested in hearing how it tows your boat as I'm considering a Toyota to replace my Tahoe in a year or so...

So far have had the truck for 1 week. The power in this truck is unreal. I have towed this boat with an F150 5.4L and also a
2010 Dodge Hemi. Was not impressed with the Hemi like I thought I would be. Put the boat on the back of that Hemi and it sank. The 09 Dodge trucks handled the load way better.
As for towing with the Toyota I only towed the boat approx 45km approx 30 miles and she handled like a dream these trucks are rated to tow 10100 lbs for the Crew Max.

I'm amazed at how little squat there is with that boat hitched. Is the suspension stock? Also, I'd be interested in any mileage numbers (towing & non-towing).

Very nice. The 2010 Dodge 1500's have a more car like suspension in the back. My 2500 doesn't squat at all when I hook up the 268.

This is the stock suspensions. It has the TRD Offroad which is a little bit beefy. The ride on it is good. In my opinion it is a very comfy ride. As far as mileage goes I still haven't ran through a tank yet! I read somewhere that guys where getting in the 20mpg range I will wait to see that. It is looking like I will get approx in Canadian #s about 600km on approx 100L of fuel.

Nice tow vehicle!

Toyota TRD (off road package) package is skid plates, rear end electric locker, and gas shocks, actual springs are the same.

Good to hear this as I might look at a Tundra when it comes time to get a new truck. If I go brand new I will have to look at the Toyotas as being a Toyota employee I can get 10% over cost on them!

Pretty sure if my memory serves me right he works for Toyota Forklifts as like a parts manager or something similar.

You got a good memory! Yes I work for a Toyota forklift dealership, but as the forklifts and cars have the same parent company we still get employee pricing on Toyota cars and trucks.
