My trailer has the turbo lube hubs. My previous trip to the lake, I noticed that the caps were loose and some oil was leaking onto the rims. I tightened the caps, and topped up the oil. My las trip out to the lake (15 minutes from my house). I noticed that there was oil leaking again. 3 were loose, and they were all very hot. The fourth I loosened, and there was a lot of pressure built up in there. Is this normal?

The brakes don't seem to be locked up or anything else that could cause the hubs to overheat. I'll check to see if they are sticking.

It's under warranty? Trailer it right to the dealership, don't ask us.

How do turbo lube hubs vent? Sounds like heat is building up, whatever venting mechanism they have is clogged or failing somehow, and the resulting pressure is popping the caps.

I'm not sure how they vent, but there must be a venting mechanism. I'll search on Tie Down Engineering site. The dealer is 2 hours away from me, so I would rather fix this myself if its easy. This is the manual for the turbo lube hub

I haven't been able to get that manual to open fully, after trying repeatedly. I would definitely call Tie Down, I've had good experiences with their customer service.
