Hi,

I have a 2005 FW 210 Horizon with four disc brake trailer. The brake caliper pistons were seized and the seals were trashed. They are Tie Down calipers and master cylinder.

I have cleaned up and rebuilt the master cylinder and all the calipers/pistons but I'm having trouble finding replcement seals. Although they look OK I would still like to replace seals in the master cylinder but the caliper seals have to be replaced. I found the piston boots are identical to Kodiak but the piston seals are impossible to find.

can anyone help?

Cheers

Did you contact tiedown to see if they could provide you with a source for the seals?

Champion Trailers is usually a pretty decent source for this type of stuff.

I had Tie-Down brand with the earlier solid rotors (not the newer vented rotor so I do not know about the calipers on those)
I had the pistons freeze up within a year of saltwater uses.

My solution was to switch to the Kodaik brand after getting no assistance on reasons or solutions from Tie-Down
--Now after five years of salt water use ---I have had no NO problems wth the Kodaik brakes and we use the boat very frequently in Florida -- we also use the brakes a lot as evidenced by a recent tow of 13 hours each way.
I feel they are superior to Tie-Down -- and a few other people feel the same way.
