anyone know of a good place to find rear jumpseats for the Freedom? just got a 1988 160 and the previous owner took out the two and also replaced the inside side padded panels with some wood...looks kinda goofy. Didn't know if something was out there after market or any suggestions to make new panels that look nice with vinyl would be appreciated.

If I remember right, the last time I did one with jump seats, Overton's was the place to go.

The Four Winns website finally put the old catalogs back on line so you can go there and look to see what they looked like when the boat was built. I think you will probably have to have them made, they're pretty simple so I don't think it will cost all that much. The other alternative is to replace them with a pair of folding seats like they use on bass boats, if you can get some to match the color scheme that the boat has. Those seats are usually smaller than the typical helm seats and might fit in the space between the engine dog house and the gunnels.

When I re-did my boat I considered converting it from the sunsport seating with the big sun pad and bench seat to the jump seats and engine dog house, but it was more work than I wanted to do and I like the storage that the sunsport seat design has. The jumpseats do give more deck space and easier engine access though. I would up keeping it the way it was but I modified the engine bulkheads to make them easier to remove for maintenance.

ok thanks for the info... I did some vinyl work before and replaced about 8 pads on an old glastron...they turned out nice for my first time. I just don't want it to look goofy. I guess I just want to make sure my wife has a good enough needle to do the seams if we do the panels.

any decent vinyl shop can make it look like it rolled off the factory floor, but you'll pay 1-2k
