I'm having issues with small black flecks of some foreign substance clogging up my carb float needles and flooding the carb on my 88 241 Libby. I have a inline water separator filter before the carb so I'm not sure where its coming from but have to assume it's coming from the tank. Has anyone had this problem before? Someone told me it might be because of Ethynol in the gas.

Josh, thank you for your response. I changed the inline water separater filter and it was clean as far as the black specs, so I believe the tank is clean. I replaced it with the same kind which is a 10 micron filter ( should pick almost anything ) I'm going to change the fuel line coming out of the filter to the carb. I can't think of anything else.
