Have a 91 365 Express Cruiser. Local marina is going to mount a swim platform off a Formula that will fit very well. There is a rub rail about 3" high that runs the width of the boat on the stern and then wraps around about 2' on each side. Does anyone know if there is a seam under the rail or is the purpose just to keep from banging the glass? They want to remove it to install the platform but if there is a seam then no. Thanks!

I'm not sure about the answer to your question. I think the only way to find out would be to investigate how the rub rail is attached. If it only goes 2' along the sides it seems unlikely there is a seam.

I'm curious if you just bought the boat or if you have had it for some time. They are pretty rare boat.

Isn't that the only FW's size/model that had a Jacuzzi under the forward berth?

I was going to ask if it had that option? One of the coolest options I've ever seen.
Never heard anyone say how well the jacuzzi worked in those boats.

I would think it would have to have a really good water tight lid, or you might have a flooded cabin when underway. I would think it would be bow heavy too, plowing thru the waves...

They had to be drained and filled each time they were used. More like a bathtub than a hottub. They were a huge water hog and a huge power hog and from what I've heard could only be used dockside. Really one of those features that looked good in a catalog but never really got used in the real world.
