So I'm changing spark plugs and the new ones match thread size and the threads are the same length, however where it sparks is 3/16" longer on the new ones. Is this ok? I'm guessing the old plugs are factory.

That is the correct Champion plug cross reference to the original AC Delco Marine plug, but I think I'd stick with the Delcos if you can easily get them.

i would stay with the mr43t plugs I have the 5.7 with the same ac plug but the champion is a RV8C napa has the mr43t plugs
