Ok, I am thinking of selling my 261. Would anybody be interested?
I am still finishing it, as in putting in the second engine.
Both Engines were the 460 cobra jet's, now 472's with lots of new
parts and all the machine work. Not been started yet.

Both out drives, King Cobras are fresh with new bearings, seals,
pumps, etc.
Bravo I 4 blade 22pitch polished SS prop's

Have spend thousands with new cabin interior.

Triple axle trailer with two axles electric brakes.

I just want to see if there is any interest. I either need to do nothing but get it done and sell it,
or put it away until next year.
I am in Southern Kansas, Wichita area.

This will be highly disappointing, but I have to do, what I have to do.

I'm not far away... if I was single and had hit the lottery, I'd be all OVER it.

If you can, and want to, I think putting it away til next year sounded like a good option.
But, might as well put it out there you might find that one buyer who is looking for your boat and will give you what you got into it.
With the motors installed and everything cleaned up, it could sell before next year.
Good Luck to ya!

Selling it "as-is" condition will never get what you could get with it all together and running...

Also, boat prices and buyers are always lower in Fall than in Spring...

If you can, you should get it back together and running before you even think about selling it (which I think you're doing)

But.... if you MUST sell it, try to do it next MAR/APR/MAY etc... when people are out looking for a boat... You might get a lot more for it.

Sorry to hear you have to sell it!

Alright, I am just going to get this deal knocked out and done. I cannot wait and put it away unfinished.
Today, I finished and hung one outdrive.
Put the electronics on the left engine, as well as the Alternator, coil, starter, finished bolting up the housing shield.
It started raining with no rain in the forcast again.

I'll finish the other motor this weekend, but I don't know if we will be able to stuff it or not. I've got to get some exhaust gaskets, as a regular kit does not cover Cobra Jet stuff.

excellent, I don't know why, but this is good news to me. Somebody will want to buy it when it's put together.

Second motor is a long block and painted to match after today.
Second Outdrive is together and ready for paint and install.

No rain today :!:

Ok. First Drive is one.
Engine is up and running. I've got to get it better in tune, but close.

Here is a pic of the drive. I am still looking for a stainless skeg guard of some kind yet.

I'm tracking with ya...looks good. One down one to go. Since your engines aren't stock, do you still use around 32 degrees advance timing? That's what my mechanic set mine at.

Book calls for 15 degrees.

The cam will tell me what to run it at. I'll find out in the next day or so.
It started raining again.

You know, the skeg in the picture above doesn't look all that bad....I would clean it up with a file and try to match the other one to it before slopping a little paint on it!

Your right, it's only the tip that is gone. But I really like the Skeggard's.

I most likely will not be able to find one, let alone two for the King's.

If we end up getting to keep the boat, I will make some next spring for it.
