same faded upper stripe on 288 I'm looking at. Vinyl sticker I think. 2-pack paint looks great.
Anyone have a rough estimate of price to paint both side stips?

Had mine done two years ago with a 2 part urethane. $2000.00
It's not a sticker. The blue is in the gel coat

I have been buffing and polishing the blue stripe on my 2006 Vista 278 for over three years. I have consulted professionals and used all kinds of products. A couple of weeks ago I had the blue area painted - three coats of two pack blue and two clear coats. I can't believe I waited so long and spent so much time trying to fix the problem.

I did this with mine just a few weeks ago as a Christmas present to myself! It cost $800 for the exact same application on mine and I couldnt be happier. I feel like I got an awesome deal. Dick at Star Jet in Columbus, Ohio did a fantastic job on it. I cant wait to spend more time enjoying my boat and its beauty and less time buffing and waxing all summer!! He did upper and lower part of my rub rail. Back by the swim platform the blue was so faded that it looked milky even though I would polish it every weekend out on the water.

What kind of paint? Is that clear coat on the paint?

This thread sure makes me appreciate my boring, white Vista.

I believe it was 3m urethane based paint. It goes on with three coats of clear.

The reason i ask is it's pretty shiny. Usually a two part polyurethane paint is used on boats.
Would be curious as to how it will hold up. The 3m is a auto paint
