If you haven't seen this elsewhere, there's a recall on the bleeder nuts used on Teleflex hydraulic steering controls.

I found this via: http://www.thehulltruth.com/forums/thre ... tid=169821

It would appear that at least one of the bleeder nuts on our 2005 348 doesn't have the correct markings on it. I have to dig up a mirror that'll let me get a closer look. But even if it does require replacing it's supposedly pretty easy to do and unlikely to leak much, if any, hydraulic fluid.

Bill, Great Info, Thanks! Do you know if there are any indications of this in the feel of the steering, like does it feel like more play or stiff, or something unusual? ALso, where do you look for this assembly? Is it in the engine compartment?

Thanks Again!

I know nothing more than what's in the notice. And yes, the components are in the engine compartment. I know this applies to the inboard steering, I have no idea if it applies to sterndrives. You'd have to look at the hydraulic hoses and see what components are installed. The notice lists part numbers and date codes of potentially affected systems. Other than that there's not much I can add.

It looks like it was just those made in the 2007 time frame, you sure your 2005 would be included in this?
