So I finally got to this over the weekend. I used the BioKleen Fiberglass Hull & RV Cleaner. Sprayed on. Waited 5 minutes. Wiped down with a clean rag. Hosed off. Freaking amazing results:   Thanks to all for the reference on what you use. Would have never known this without you guys!!! |

I also use Biokleen with great results. Actually, I just squirt it on a clean towel and wipe the hull which seems to work real well and helps to avoid over spray. |

Glad you got it taken care of. Looks great! I was going to suggest Babe's Spot Remover. My local shop carries their products, and I've had good luck with all of them. I only use the spot remover after extended periods in the water when the water spots really build up. I use their cleaner/wax a few times a year. And I use their seat soap on a regular basis (nearly every time I get the boat out or put it away). I don't have any affiliation with Babe's, but if you can't tell, I'm sold on their product line for my dark blue boat. I've see the Biokleen products and picked up one of their cleaner products in the Ozarks a couple of years ago when I ran out of Babe's during a week long trip. I didn't get a chance to really use it. It worked fine for the small cleanup tasks during the week, but I never really used it on the dark blue portion of my hull. I then left it in the unheated portion of my garage and it didn't last the winter. After seeing your results, I may have to give it another try. |

I must have about every cleaner, wax and enough buffers and pads to compete with 230 Mike. Every time there is a post about a new product it seems like I try it. The photos posted by pet575 made me want to give the Biokleen product a shot because I had some bad spots as well. I ordered the Hull Kleen and the Hull and RV cleaner. I have to say both products worked out fantastic. I had some hard water spots that have been troublesome in the past and the Hull and RV cleaner took them off. I have used the MaryKate products with success but the acid could be difficult to work with particularly if you are working under the boat on a trailer. The Biokleen product was much friendlier to work with but seemed to work as well or better than the other products I tried. |

My friends swear by biokleen, I will get some on order, just for that reason, when under neath, it is strong, I always use rubber gloves with Mary Kate's, I don't think that's necessary with the biokleen... We're slipped at Findlay so we end up in Cove 5 if we're late getting to the lake. We are in Skull quite a bit as well and toward the end of the year we were there more. The water in 5 was getting kind of nasty with all the people in it and we thought Skull was a little cleaner. I'm often with my brother-in-law and his Regal 3060. We go all the way to the back of the coves since it seems like once we're on anchor we stay in one spot for a day or more. Had a nice year on the lake although I felt a little foolish winterizing in 80 degree weather yesterday. I saw several photos of people still on the lake. Let's make it a point to hook up next summer. |
