So that new Johnson was too much for our little dingy's transom (which was poor to begin with) so I spent a few days making it much better. It came out really well. Maybe these pics could help folks who might want to do this in the future.

We have a Walker Bay 10' that we use with a Suzuki DF 2.5 four stroke, I built this mini transom to mount the wheels on it so we don't have to drag it down the beach (too heavy!) two layers of 3/4" plywood laminated together....much better than the old ones we had before

That is a great idea! As you can see ours gets a lot of abuse being moved in and out of the water...

I got tired of dragging that thing down the beach (we use the 2 Walker Bays to row out to the F/W which is on a mooring at the beach.)The 10' weighs about 120 lbs and is very strong. I made the mini transom so I did not have to drill holes in the boat. This fall I'm making another one for the 8' WB...that is much lighter at 70 lbs. Because the Zuki is only a 2.5 it can be used on either one. It's fast enough for us...
