Any advice or products/methods that work good for you? My cockpit needs a good scrubbing with the right product.... I used a couple cleaners I had (one being 303) today. Not much better,

Thanks in advance...

I've used a good cutting compound & a wool pad.
Came up like new & isn't slippery.

I use Soft Scrub with bleach but if you really want to get it clean, use magic erasers (too expensive and time consuming for me to do on a regular basis though).

I use starbright nonskid cleaner with a stiff brush on cockpit floor and swim platform. Works awesome!

For some types of stains, SprayNine works well.

We typically use a non skid deck cleaner like 303 or Starbrite, and a power washer where possible. The high pressure helps a lot.

Thanks for the info guys, looks like I will pick up some products from the local target or west marine. I appreciate all the info!

I use the Starbrite Non Skid Deck Cleaner as well. I'll clean the non skid on the cockpit floor in the spring before the carpeting goes down for the season and use the Starbrite Cleaner on the deck and swim platform as required throughout our boating season. Wetting the surface down abit and a good stiff nylon brush does a good job. Before waxing the boat in the spring I also like to use a tooth brush to scrub the non skid under the horn and to clean under the boat cleats that I can't get at with the bigger brush.

I like using "Meguiar's Marine/RV Quik Wax Clean & Protect" It's probably not great for a tough stain but once its good and clean with some of the products mentioned above I hit the floor with this stuff and it makes it easier to clean later. It doesn't make it any more slippery than before using it.
Its a spray on and wipe off so its pretty easy. I also like using it everywhere fiberglass in between "real" waxing.

After you get it all cleaned up. Check out woody wax, it is used to keep fish blood and the like from staining deck and works well. Makes next cleanup easier.

Thanks guys, I love when people have a good experience with a product that actually works as it is advertised. I have bought so many that didn't seem to do anything....

I like woody wax and was also going to mention the product. It works well on my bow area where the sun pads go. I get a lot of spider droppings under cover and it seems to help. You need to read carefully how to work with the stuff and it goes on wet and is very slippery until it dries but when it does the boat looks great.

Going to pick some up, how far does this stuff go on your 278 Flyer51? is a 16 ounce bottle enough for an application?

Oh gosh yes a bottle last me a season or more. Of course I get lazy during the summer and get involved doing other things like boating, swimming, chillin. Amazing how distracted I can get if I start working on my boat in the marina. Always someone walking by and the next thing you know I'm joining in with those morning beverages and my wax projects waits for another day.
