Hey everyone! I have a question: I have a 2008 H200 SS, True Red. I have had my baby only a little while now, and I was wondering what the best wax is for this boat. I love the True Red gelcoat, and I wanted to know what you guys have used, or recommend. I want the best!! I just want to keep this thing looking brand new for a long, long time. Also, any suggestions on keeping the interior protected? Armor-All, or Meguiar's or something else? Thanks for any input.

DO NOT use armorall. It will ruin your vinyl over time. Use 303. Period. All kinds of good waxes. Get a good wax/sealant on it now. Meguires Flagship, starbrite w/ PTF or yachtbright ProPolish are my favorites.

Try the "General Care" threads and you will find a thread entitled "Wax". By the time you read that you will be totally confused... As they say "different strokes for different folks!" I would stick to a system that you can get easily from a local supplier. If you want to do it right you have to wash (with boat soap  ), polish with a "polish" to remove small scratches and clean the surface, then finally wax. Waxing is an art and science that takes alot of "fortitude" to complete properly. Stay on top of your boat now and it will be alot easier. Meguiar's has a marine system as well as 3M and others.... Oh yeah you probably should think about investing in a random orbital polisher. Watch some vids on Youtube... and find a buddy with aboat that's all polished up and get him to show you his "method" that will be the best scenario.

I've been using mostly the Meguiars Marine products and can tell you I am very happy with them. Specifically the Vinyl care product and the marine cleaner wax.
