This weekend a guest left a couple bags of burger buns on my seat cushions. The sun and/or humidity transferred the ink from the nutrition info on to my white seat cushions. Soap and water and tilex didn't do a thing.

Anyone have an idea to remove it safely?

A few suggestions that might work:

White (non-gel) toothpaste
Goo Gone
WD-40
Rubbing Alcohol (don't scrub)
Butter (rub and let sit in the sun for a day)

My wife swears by magic erasers. It has worked for her on similar issues

Thanks for the suggestions...... I'll try the magic eraser first and then sequentially work down the other list! :D

Make sure you follow the Magic Eraser with a UV protectant!

Hear is the simple answer to anything to clean.
Simple Green.

I even tried Comet on my white vinyl with scubing hard. Went and got simple green and just a light brushing and perfecto!

It even takes out rust stains which are worse than when the grandkids run out of paper and use the seats. lol

How many calories are in one of those cushions?

I'm still trying to get out the Zoom watermellon color that the rubber worm left on my anchor storage cushion! I've tried Magic eraser,Spray Nine,Bleach,LPS Super Cleaner degreaser, Mequires Flagship wax so far it's still there just a little lighter!

I had ball point pen ink on a leather seat in my car for almost a year. Washed the car, and used a shammi to dry it. Just for the heck of it, I tried it on the pen mark on the seat and to my surprise it took it right off. I was amazed, but don't know if this will help with any of the situ's above. Can't hurt!

Whatever you do stay away from solvents and bleach. They're too harsh for use on vinyl. They eat away at the softening plasticizers. They make that spot weaker and more likely to crack, sooner that it would otherwise. And resist the temptation to scrub too hard. I'd try Simple Green first. Then if that didn't work I'd try a bit of lemon juice on the area and leave it in direct sunlight. I had a line of ink on one of my seats and Simple Green got most of it. The rest came from sunlight. After about a month I noticed the line had disappeared.

I have same problem, i left a cheap blue flashlight on my helm seat...it bled into the seat, nothing so far takes it out... these kind of stains seem to become part of the seat vs something you can get off. Next solution is just going to be purchasing that part of the seat from FW.

Or how about asking them what the material is and have a local shop make a repair? That might be a lot less expensive than a whole other seat.
