 Post subject: Removing Windshield

Anybody removed their windshield and frame? Or am I going to be the first :roll:

I did not remove the windshield frame but I have replaced two of the glass sections...and the old style frame on my 88 is very easy to take apart...you remove the screws on the corners and the upper part of the aluminum frame lifts up and then you can slide the glass out...or slide the new glass in...some tips...use silicone spray on the rubber to make the glass slide in easy...wear gloves and at all costs do NOT let a screw for the frame contact the glass that will shatter it in an instant...so make sure the screws that secure the frame together will not touch the glass when installed...
