Since this is the closest thing we have to a "Miscellaneous" sub-forum, and since it's the dead of winter for many of us on this board, and since we all like pics, I thought I'd post a link to a little thing I did across the street. Totally non-boating related, and please excuse the shameless crossposting.

Nice project 230 Mike, but to be honest, when I saw a thread titled "Dead of winter pics," I thought this was what you were looking for...

I, for one, love it. :D. All the water here is hard. And white.

Ardy:

That pics warms us all up. Especially when its 20F and snow all around where I store my boat.

I had better get the camera out in 10 days time and get snapping to warm all the Northern Hemisphere folk up

Awesome pics Clarko. I am jealous, especially since this is what we have to contend with in our corner of the world....

We actually like winter a lot. I would not want to boat all year round. Having it limited makes it more special to us. Also, the Great Lakes are the best boat hands down...I would not be willing to give that up.

Well, it looks like last weekend's ride on our snowmobiles was THE last ride for us this year. We have been using them less and less the last several years, and decided to sell them yesterday. I listed all three on Craigslist this morning. Within 10 minutes I had 3 calls on the 500 Polaris Classic Touring that my wife rode . The first guy bought it for what I listed it for. And within the hour, another guy bought our trailer and the 440 Sport and 340 Lite Deluxe. So all three are now gone. We have been snowmobiling for 15 years, and had alot of good memories riding them with our kids and friends. We will miss them.
So here is a pic from our last ride to bid them fairwell.
