I'm a firm believer. A friend who has a 340DA swears by this stuff, so I tried it last season. I applied it with a Porter Cable 7424 at the end of last season, and then today when I washed it, it still beaded up. I applied it by hand, and was amazed at the results....

I'm sold on this product.

I just bought the Starbrite Cleaner Wax with PTEF when on sale at West Marine. Then over the weekend was at Bass Pro and they had their brand of Cleaner Wax with PTEF for a little cheaper so I bought a quart from there. On the Starbrite bottle is says that PTEF is Starbrite's trademark for (Teflon) so I'm thinking the Bass Pro is made by Starbrite. I'm cleaning our boat early in May so I'll let everyone know how it works. My boat is in pretty good shape but I felt the cleaner wax would be better for me since the boat is a little older. I'm also interested to see of the PTEF helps keep the bottom cleaner (no bottom paint on our boat).

Wow she is shinny!! Does it help keep the scum from sticking to the hull? This is propbably the last thing I want to do to my boat before we are ready for the season is get a good coat of wax on it.

Let me add a +1 in favor of this product. Full disclosure... I have a detailer doing the work (2 coats on the hull) and the gel coat has remained in very good shape so this was maintenance, not problem-solving . But it was his first time working with this polish and he is sold. So am I.

Looks great Sierra. Also, mine was the same. My boat had been inside a boathouse/rack storage up until I bought it..so no problems here!

Just my $.02. From the label, the additive is PTEF, not PTFE - an entirely different thing, and a cynic would say it could be an attempt to claim a more superior product than it really is, or at least confuse the buyer.

That said, the results pretty well speak for themselves. I'm wondering if this isn't actually the same product as the Gel Coat Labs Micro Polish and Sealant. The packaging and the results appear identical (not that that means anything).

True, thanks Mike. I can't seem to get those letters straight unless I'm looking at it.

I've got the Gel Coat Labs product...I'll have to pour some of both out and compare.
