Hello all
New ( used ) boat owner. My 225 sd had a leaky windshield wiper and caused some water damage in the cuddy. I have the leak fixed but there is a bad odour and some stains left behind. Any suggestions on what to do with either problem.
Thanks
Doyle

I saw the G-Man on Ship Shape TV tout some odor eliminator and it was on the show about fixing leaky windows. I think it was called ProActive ProFresh Odor Eliminator and you can buy it at http://www.jamestowndistributors.com.

The odour is most likely mold. Make sure you cleanse it out well. We have on of those mini steam vacs and it awesome on cleaning up things. It's called a Spot Bot made by Bissell. http://www.walmart.com/ip/Bissell-SpotBot-Hands-Free-Portable-Deep-Cleaner/3957089

Here is a link to one at Walmart. Works great in the house chasing Grandkids and Kool-aid around too!

If the mold is too bad, you will have to really just replace it or get sick being in it.

I have used odor x-it and ZorbX. ZorbX seems to work the best in my opinion and you can find it easier. I buy mine from Lowes in the air freshener section. It has no fragrence or cover up smell to it. however, as many have said make sure you clean the area well to make sure the odor causing bacteria/mold etc is gone. then spray away. I have used this in my wifes jeep a few times, she is clumsy and has dropped coffee with cream in it, a fruit and yogurt smoothie and pretty much everything else you can imagine in it. The odor disapperas almost immediately.
