I usually buy Snappy Clean pad cleaning powder to "field clean" my wool compounding pads but the company I ordered my compound, polish and wax through didn't have it or any other pad cleaner available. I don't want to order it online due to the shipping cost or drive to one of the boating stores so does anyone know who carrys a wool pad cleaner or is there another household cleaning solution I can use in lieu of? Again, I "field clean" them so don't have access to a washing machine. Thanks.

I have used this for years successfully with my non POS buffer. You can find them at a local auto paint/detailing store.

Or if the $8 or $9 shipping doesn't scare you away. Order here.

LOL! You are a quick read Cap'n. And this tool keeps the compound and polish from building up and the pad clean? I use a screwdriver to clean my pads right now and I guess that is the problem but the pads will eventually need a deep cleaning and I am looking for something like Snappy Clean. Someone stated that Woolite works but that is in the washing machine. Hoping to find something that I can use out "in the field". Thanks and I will invest in one regardless.
