I've been noodling with the possibility of adding an amp on my '03 Funship. The head-unit is in the head enclosure (i.e. in the porta-potti area), not in the dash. I could just do it the white-trash way and mount the amp on the ledge area with wires exposed, but was hoping that someone had done it in a more concealed way....

Any suggestions much appreciated!

Thanks,

Erik

Erik..........How about behind the vynil covered panel behind the porta potty?

Any pics of where your head unit is mounted?

Mine is mounted above the storage locker under the dash/ trash can area......

I'll take some pics and post them - possibly tomorrow....

Access seems to be the biggest issue - I suppose I could cut an access panel of some sort :(

And my head unit is mounted inside that area; essentially behind the steel handle shown in the picture above - a little lower down.

That's going to be a tough spot for running wires and such......

I'm not crazy about the location of my head unit......every time someone walks by it they knock a knob off of the face plate.......I wish it was mounted on the dash itself........
