I have a 170 Horizon and I'm considering adding a subwoofer under the back-to-back seats. Anyone see a problem with this? Space is tight on this smaller craft. I'm hoping the bass isn't lost under there...any ideas on that as well?

FWIW I don't have that much stuff to store under there at present, and there are two of these setups (one each side) to choose from.

Hey Wrench,

You may struggle to fit even an 8" woofer & enclosure in that space.
Have you considered under the factory ice chest area, like mine?

I like that idea very much, is it OK to cut a hole into that area without messing up something behind it?

Obviously you did it and it seems nice, is it easy to fish the wires thru to go to the other side? Not really familiar with how the boat is constructed and where wires should go I'm more of a powertrain guy

Easy as pie, Wrench.
If your boat is anything like mine, access from under the front seats is excellent.
I too am a spanner spinner, but like to think of myself as multi-talented! :P

Yes.
I have a 4AWG power and 4AWG earth, going to my deep cycle battery at the stern.

20ft of power and 20ft of earth should be plenty!
