Anyone created a wifi network on the boat and using their phone to get on the cellular netowrk? Does it work well, what equipment are you using? Any other thoughts or ideas? Thanks, |

Couldn't you just use your phone as an access point for other devices to connect to for accessing wifi? |

On several occasions we have used a cell phone to connect to the internet with up to 2 or 3 users. It has worked pretty well as long as we have decent cell phone signal strength I'm not sure what more of a WIFI system would be needed than a cell phone, Verizon jetpack, or other hotspot. Using your cell phone or other hotspot may go thru the time in your cell phone plan. In or near a marina or other hotspot location a WIFI booster (like the link in a previous post) may be helpful. |
