Thanks Capt. unplugging the remote worked. Do you know if the remote is shot or if its wiring, etc......

I really haven't had the time to investigate the issue since I'm outta town til next weekend but i don't think anything is shot. The display still works on my remote so i that is why i have this is feeling.

I suspect the issue is related to corrosion or water somewhere in the wiring (most likely by the remote since this is exposed). If you have the time give everything a real good cleaning with a good electrical connections cleaner at both ends and see if the problem goes away.

I have been having problems with the Sony CDX-HS70MP head unit as well. I have to depress the reset button several times a day in order fot it to recognize the cd player, sat or Ipod options after i start and stop the motor. When the radio reboots, I get the radio option only. Therefore, I reset and hope for the best. Sometimes it works, sometimes not. I contacted Sony about the issue and they tell me I needed the Sony XAC40 Multiple UniLink Changer Adapter. I purchased the item but it did not correct the problem.

Anyone else have these issues?
