Hi All

I decided to post some links to some websites that I used to learn how to set up my boat audio system. If you want me to share some of the things I have learned in the 2 months of reading up on the subject let me know and I will be glad to share. This list are the ones that I used most often, there are obviously an unlimited amount of websites dedicated to car/marine audio.

Car Audio Amplifiers: http://www.caraudiohelp.com/car_audio_a ... er_quality

How to Match a Subwoofer and an Amplifier: http://knowledge.sonicelectronix.com/ca ... ifier.html

Power Specifications for Amps and Speakers: http://www.caraudiohelp.com/newsletter/ ... ations.htm

Sonic Electronix Knowledge Base: http://knowledge.sonicelectronix.com/

Learn about Car Audio & Video: http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Learn/Ar ... y.aspx?c=3

Installation Considerations: http://www.polyplanar.com/InstallationC ... tions.aspx

Series vs. Parallel Wiring: http://www.termpro.com/articles/spkrz.html

Wakeboard tower tubing clamp size calculator: http://www.bulletlines.com/Wakeboard-To ... e-s/38.htm

Custom Subwoofer Box calculator: http://www.klausaudio.com/

Car Audio Subwoofer Primer: http://www.bcae1.com/spboxnew2.htm

BassBox software (sub box software): http://www.ht-audio.com/

11 Considerations for Marine Audio System Installations: http://www.12voltnews.com/?p=5576

Ohm's Law in Car Audio: http://www.caraudiohelp.com/ohms_law/ohms_law.htm

Ohm's Law: http://www.prestonelectronics.com/audio/Impedance.htm

Amplifier Tunning:
Using an oscilloscope is obviously the best way to adjust the amp gain. If you don't have one or they are to expensive to purchase for one time use, then adjusting your Amp Gains using a DMM (Digital Multi Meter) is better then turning the gain until your speakers/sub clips.

The best one tutorial IMO http://forum.realmofexcursion.com/ampli ... 010-a.html
