I've still got the 2008 Sony head unit that came with the boat. Luckily, unlike others on here, I haven't had any issues with it. So, has anyone ever installed more than one of the remotes? The remote comes with a Y-adapter and the instructions state that the other side of the Y should go to another component, i.e. Sirius. Do you think I could plug another Y-adabpter into the remote side and plug both remotes into this? I installed the first one in the bow and now am thinking we may like one at the swim platform as well.

I've tried searching previous posts but it doesn't look as though this has been brought up with the Sony's.

I've done Dual remotes with the Clarion. The Y-adapter was for 2 remotes. I don't think that you could have one for remote and the other for some other device... then again, I never looked into it either.

I have 2 Sony remotes with displays. There are 2 "Y" types connectors that are needed!! The one that is shown in the link, and yes you can hook up 2 of them. I installed HD radio on the commander side and the HD radio has another commander connector that I used for the 2nd remote, and it worked. You also NEED another "Y"connector for what looks like a 1/8" headphone jack. With out it, it will not work!
