I have a 2010 h180 with sony stereo, four spears and subwoofer, which came with the boat. Today we took the boat out, ran about 4 miles offshore to Dog Island. Pulled up to shore and turned the engine completely off. A few seconds later we heard this weird kinda hum, lasted about a second then disappeared. Then it came back, purselike, every ten seconds or so. Again, the key was in the ignition but the turned completely off. After a couple minutes we traced it to the subwoofer which is located on port side under the glovebox where the amp is tuner/cd player is located. I turned the key to the left which gives power only to the radio, turned it on and off a couple times, but the pulse remained. I disconnected the red and white plugs that lead into the subwoofer and the pulse stopped. I haven't reconnected the subwoofer now that is parked, figured if it started again it might drain the battery or worse. Any idea what this might be? |

its hard to say, when the key is off you have to look and see if the amp is still powered up, it should not be. |
