Well, at this time of year, Most of us should be getting the boats ready for the water. I spent quality time this afternoon with the wash bucket, buffer and a bottle of Meguiar's Flagship Premium Wax. Here are the results...

I was going to post one of my current boat, but I figured that I am up against olympians in the field of waxing and shining, so I opted for the wooden spoon (last place) award. This is a pic of my old boat, a 15 foot aluminum runabout with more scratches than paint. By the way nice job on the waxing and polishing everyone.

spring cleaning is the first joy of the boating season...these I made on april the 2nd.

but all aircrafts from Malpensa International airport pass at low route and all boats are dirty within few weeks and the "first joy" becomes soon the main boring source

Chris - nice and clean! Did you add the black cleats or did they come on the boat?

Just me, but I would remove the boat sales decal on the starboard side. Ruins the striping. It is the first thing I do on any car I get too.

Great pics everyone.... keep 'em coming!

PDACPA, the cleats are bumper cleats. Not my first choice for a solution, but on this boat there were not alot of options. Seeing as the boat is wet slipped, I needed something reliable that wouldn't let the bumpers go by accident. You are right, I should get those decals off there before there is much discoloration.

John... yup, we are ice free. For sure somebody had to say it! We were about 2 weeks behind Simcoe for the melt. Our marina has been a bit late this year in getting the docks out (all floating). This will be the latest spring launch I have done in a while.

Wooden Spoon award hell....that's a cool looking old boat in my opinion...these new ones are pretty much a dime a dozen (like one i have) - i like the old ones and they turn more heads on the water.

Many a good day has been had on that old boat i recon.
