regular monday stuff. Watching Lake Of Ozarks shootout videos, looking at the magma CHefmate and the storage bag. thinking about boat stuff. Trying to decide on what color rubber drain matts will go in the floor of the ski locker and the storage bench. this and that

Blue...of course.

I used Mcmaster-Carr P/N 6813T1 in blue for my ski locker. at $5/sq-ft, seems like there should be a better price somewhere else. I am planning on putting matts under my rear bench seat also, but haven't gotten to that yet.

i have $2.49 shipped on eBay. is the best i have found.. but those are only available in white and gray.

i have found $3.25 plus ship on other colors online. I have not done a deep deep search to find the best best pricing.. but i need around 26 tiles to make the space i want done.

I had my 298V compounded, waxed and bottom painted last week. I really like the white gelcoat on these boats and how the color never seems to yellow or fade. Not bad for a 15 year old boat.

i am playing with the new AUTO ROUTING update to AVIONICS plus. on my iPhone at the office. So far i love how it gives me the route that i would choose on my own which is great and alters course around hazards and indicates hazardous areas. I will play not he iPad at home, which is my main screen when on the water. SO far this is better routing than previous where i would have to manually input each point. i like the data: travel time, fuel burn, distance. This is great info for me if i get a radio call from a buddy that is clear North or on the opposite finger and i know what the run time will be.

Also i can make routes on my phone at the office or where ever and save to my profile and they are automatically updates to my iPad ready to go when i hit the water. The Avionics app software is integratabtle with Lawrence and Garmin units. (depends on the model) so if you are NEMA system and have autopilot your route can be ran with your auto pilot.. I see a 7knt party cruise in the evening on autopilot with a return route to be amazing. pay attention but you can be at ease if you leave the helm to get a refreshment or check on the steaks on the grill.

The RED spot is a submerged hazard brought to attention it flashed when zoomed in and on auto tracking. It is an old bridge that is about 30 feet down left from when they flooded the lake in the 50s. but with a simple touch of the screen i can pull the route line a hair to rout around that spot and have zero worry about it. Notice rout changes in the other photos.

Disregard all of my fishing spots they are all horrible so no need to test them out.

Went to the Metro Beach boat show today (Detroit Area). Not a ton of boats but didn't see anything we like better than our Crownline. Nice to confirm we bought the boat with the layout we like best of any we've seen.

Remembered to post my storage space addition to our aft cabin. The original space was very small. The left side is where we keep our dogs crate during the day and the right side is a 'linen closet'. Works perfect, no doors required. Super easy project, huge increase in storage!

Keeping fingers crossed that my bro decides to swap the bay house for a lake house with boat house/lifts. I refused to motor in the salt or dunk the painted trailer in the bay....discussion came up and I was biting tongue and trying to use telepathy to him and sis in law.

Took a quick midweek trip to the lake... a bit cold for us here in Vegas, but seeing the coyotes come running to the beach to scrounge for leftovers (we left none) as we left was so worth it.

Great photos, Chris!
Can coyotes be aggressive if approached or are they timid?
