Congrats!! There is nothing like having a place rite on the water and a big plus to have your boat at your own dock in your back yard. Just curious what it takes to get a dredging permit, cuz up here in mass it's called a pistol permit :D too much red tape!!!

Since this is a TVA lake that acutally love us to dredge. Increases the size of the total watershed. That said, you ahve to show them where you are taking the fill. Can't be pushed into the lake. Also, they will sometimes look at an environmental impact study.

OK so here is an update with some pics:
Lot before construction. 1.5 acres. This is from the street so you can barely see the lake through the trees

After Clearing and all the leaves down for Winter:

Now with house/garage at current level of construction

Thanks. We are very excited to be on the lake. We are hoping to be moved in by Memorial day. House warming after that :)

Are you allowed to have a dock there? Awesome place. Will be great being able to lie in bed and watch moon reflect on water with that view....you need to buy an antique wooden sport cruiser like On Golden Pond.

Thanks,
Yes we can have a dock and in fact already have one. It is a 2 slip dock with a sun deck on top. I will be adding a lift. The dock floats since the lake level varies...

here is a view from the front window where you can see the dock. This was after a heavy rain and the ramp was under water because the dock had not been pulled in to shore yet...

Here is another view from the neighbors driveway
