I wonder if this will fit my SL242, seems different from the part numbers on FW's site

couple things i feel that it does not have the load distributed well with such a narrow footprint for a DIY add on tower.. have you looked at the MONSTER Towers.. i feel that you could get a better fit and better structural load distribution. take a look before pulling the trigger. also you would have the ability to fold down the tower

Take a look at www.H2OSportsWarehouse.com I bought some speakers from them and had good customers service. They seem to be knowledgable of their product and have good pricing.

065-1771 is a correct part number for OEM SS arch for SL 242 & 262.. This stainless steel arch is very well made and much stronger than Aluminum towers you can get on aftermarket. SL`s (and late model Horizon) gunwale has a specific area for this arch where reinforced and thicker layer of fiberglass that I would go for the OEM arch if you can find it. The original cost for this arch option was around $4800 (with integrated bimni) and cost more than $6000 if you go thru a dealer to install after word. So this is a bargain if it is OEM Arch. We had this arch on our H260 and over 4 years we had not have any sign of spider crack or issue at mounting point of gunwale other than loosened nuts time to time (Horizon has side mount and SL has top mount at gunwale which is slightly different) I personally would not put anything other than OEM towers on SLs. If you need part numbers for integrated Bimini to go with this Arch I still have my list of them from my dealer so I can help you on them.

Sushi, did the shop do fiberglass work to patch the holes where the old bimini was when you mounted the OE tower?
