300hp, weighing 300lbs when a Yamaha 300hp gas outboard weighs 571lbs and a Mercury Veradp 300hp weigs 635 lbs !

If it comes to fruition, a possible marine propulsion game changer ( depends on cost though!)

That sounds awesome! And i can't believe it is only 300lbs.... I would think the drive leg alone would be most of that weight on a 300hp... Even a old/new 2 stroke is way more than that.

Awesome figured it was some kind of 2 stroke. Best of three worlds (outboard, 2 stroke, diesel)...

Nice find!

You are correct. By the article, it looks like the engine by itself is estimated at 300lbs, designed for multiple purposes. They don't give a weight for a total outboard.
