It does look more spacious than I expected. But it is one of those trick camera lenses and positions.

What's behind door number 1?

That all being said...I'm sure for most its a no brainer. The H440 or V435....V435 every time, hands down.

Hi All - it's been a long time. Hope everybody's well.

I just received my invite to the preview event they're having around the debut of the H440 and expect to work it into my schedule.
As far as the design, if it follows in the concept of the Cruisers 328 Bow Rider I'm at least intrigued. I demo'd one (only because a friend is a dealer) a few months ago and was really impressed with the form and function of the boat. The interior space was indeed surprising given the fact that it has an open bow. It is in no way an after-thought. If I were a day boater again (and interested in spending that kind of money on a day boat) I would be shopping that segment. It is most definitely not for everyone but the current trend in bow riders and center consoles is "the bigger the better."

I will happily snap some pictures and report back.

very tricky camera work and proportional finishings.. i am sure that couch is damn near on the ground to make the ceiling height seem taller.. I am waiting on physical dimensions.. and to see video of actual people in the boat..

The couch is behind the area where the open bow is. From the exterior the windshield is just aft of the hatches/skylights.

The open bow is behind the door in the middle and the head is to the starboard side....the normalish (slightly aft) position compared to the V435.

Some builders do not sacrifice the forward stateroom for an open bow. Azimut has a spacious bow seating area, and does not lose the full beam forward stateroom accommodations. Not a "bowrider" layout, but much more practical design.

And that is on a 50'+ boat...

Length overall (incl. pulpit) 16,89 m (55'5'' ft)
Hull length (incl. platform) 15,14 m (49'8'' ft)
A Beam max 4,7 m (15'5'' ft)
Draft (incl. props at full load) 1,44 m (4'9'' ft)

A different league, but exactly what Four Winns is aiming at.

I think the biggest hindrance is the lack of useable side decks on the current crop of express cruisers. If the only way you can get to the bow is through the windshield, you are really limited in how to better use that space.

The Azimut Magellano boats are a more upright, more traditional proportions boat....not unlike the classic Chris Crafts I mentioned earlier. I like them.

I also like the new crops of Carvers. With a little higher deck height the C40 could have bow seating without loosing too much cabin headroom.

Nice to see your posts. Did you get your 441 sold? We were on a 441 at a recent in water boat show, love that boat! Can't wait to see your pictures from FLIBS.

I was friends some time ago with a couple where the wife is 4'10 and her husband 5'. They do modeling to make things appear larger than they are. They make a pretty good living doing so.

Being 6'2, I'm quite used to everything being small. I was quite amazed though that I can stand up fully in a mid 2000's 248 Vista. That's what sold me on the idea of buying one, I didn't think I would be able to.
