I would like to get a faux teak cover for my swim platform. I am considering the seadek product for the simple fact that they have a template for my boat already. If I were to order it shortly I will have it in time for a spring install.

I have read a few threads on here and iboats about different options, but I have not found any followup comments about how people really like them in the long run.

Do any of you have a swim platform cover, or any experience at all that you could share?

May I highly recommend from multiple boat used http://www.flexiteek.com is hands down a better team product than the seadeck. Extremely good product that I highly recommend. Take the measurements precisely and Tripple check. They make a fanominal product as long as you as the consumer send accurate measures.

Thanks for the recommendation.

I have read a few comments about this product getting very hot in the sun. Have you experienced this?

I was thinking about this as well. But after checking out some boats that have it and seeing how hot it gets in the sun I decided against it. Those I talked to mostly love it but all complained about it getting hot.

I have Flexiteak on my swim platform. I love the look and how easy it is to keep clean, but it is HOT. No barefeet can go on it.

We have a Seadek on our swim platform and love it. Doesn't get hot in summer and looks awesome.
