Spent last weekend at Victoria's largest fresh water lake (Lake Eildon).
Fresh water sucks - the boat's less buoyant and goes slower! :roll:

We're at Patto far more frequently than Pt Melbourne!

We travelled almost as far as Goughs Bay, but my Navionics Silver Map on my Lowrance doesn't include Lake Eildon!

We'll explore more of it, within the coming month/s...

To be fair it was raining at first and they didn't want to be there. Then the clouds passed, the sun came out, we grilled and played Cards Against Humanity and had a beautiful Sunday Funday evening edition.

The brunette I'm actually in a relationship with, she said don't sell the boat until we spend at least a few weekends out on anchor. I can do that. She grew up on boats in Puerto Rico, maybe I will get my 248 Vista if she sticks around and if she's really likes sleeping out. The only reason I want to sell the cuddy is cause I had no reason for it anymore. 2002-2004 248's are dirt cheap around Florida. Get a nice fresh water only one for 20k. Heck, can get a 238 for 15k. With a little cosmetic updating in the cabin they're perfect boats.

i wet the new fishing kayak over the weekend.. and paddled 5.7 miles with a top speed of 6.1mph. was a great day out with 72* and bikinis out on almost every dock i passed.

afternoon when it was hot and the bikinis were out all over.

Still frozen here.....both salt water bays and lakes. I took this picture a few days ago.

The picture below was taken by a photographer in Wellfleet on Cape Cod Bay. There is a 10-11' tide there and these chunks of ice have been pushed into the elbow of the Cape due to the North NorthWest winds.

this cooler only holds 8. and i came home with zero.

i think i am going to get one of these igloo marine 2 day ice soft coolers.. holds 24 cans so that should be plenty of fuel and samiches.
