I wish there was a better pic, but it sure looks like a FW made the news at a Pittsburgh Pirates game recently:

Anyone know this guy/boat? Is it a FW?

Police response seems a little lame.
Once it lands in someone's boat, seems like the ball should be the property of the boat owner.
The guy probably had to trespass to retrieve ball.

Ah yes, gotta love the illegal search and seizure. I'd sue.

Weird story on the ball itself but MLB has always taken the "whomever has possession" approach when figuring out who a ball of significance belongs to. Hell, I'd just be glad the ball didn't smash the windshield or do some damage to the gelcoat or interior.

I was thinking the same thing. What right does the guy have to go into someone's boat.

You never jumped over the neighbours fence to fetch your ball as a kid? Hell I would have a life sentence for trespassing if that were the case...

I just see my boat like my travel trailer or my home.
You can walk through my campsite or my yard, but once you cross over the threshold into my private space now we have a different situation.
