Just wanted to post that the Chesapeake finally has a new Four Winns dealer. They recently acquired a 2016 V435 so I met with the owner, Hawk, for a showing on Saturday. He was very enthusiastic about the brand and super excited to become a FW dealer. They are located at liberty marine on South River, Annapolis. They will be expanding their size there and start performing service. Much much better vibe from these folks then I ever got from any of my dealings with the former bay dealer (who never brought in a 435 or 475). Looking forward to seeing these guys succeed.

Just curious what the origin of your screen name is. Sounds like sound I would see at vwvortex.com :)

I think I have an account there as I do happen to have a tdi golf. But originally came from my first mkiv Toyota supra tt. I have a few of them. One fully built ethanol car and a 1 of 4 hardtop.

I loved my TDI when I had it. Was a new (MKIV) 2003 Jetta TDI 5-speed. I was driving 500+ miles a week and getting over 40 MPG even after a tune and upgraded wheels/suspension was really nice...

Supras are damn nice, they have always been on my automotive bucket list.

mkivbren -- thanks for the shout-out about Hawks Yachts. I work for Hawk and am glad you liked the 435. I finally got my site registration process straightened out and will try to put notice in the announcement thread later today. Hawk is definitely going all-in on Four Winns. We have a H-230, H-260, H-290, H-350, TS-222 and a Vista 275 enroute --- in addition to the Vista 435 in the parking lot. Right now our biggest problem is getting inventory.
Thanks again for mentioning Hawks Yachts
Riva Mike

Welcome aboard Mike! Awesome to see a dealers presence on here which, I'll mention, they had no idea I was making this post. Speaks volumes and sets them apart from the rest IMO.

Hawk remembers showing you the 435 and confirmed that he knew nothing of you posting on this site (I had told him about previously about iFourWinns).

If there is any thing I can help you, or anyone, with I'll be happy to try. I am quickly learning that the Four Winns parts catalog is not the most user friendly experience -- but I do have the direct lines and e-mails for the factory parts specialists for any questions that I can't answer. I am trying to not violate any rules about commercial postings -- although I did e-mail the moderator a few times asking for general information about sponsorship rates and never heard anything back.

There is a rumor going around, that I won't be able confirm until Tuesday, that the V-475 is being discontinued. I just received advance 2016 price lists and the V-475 is not there. The 435 we have in stock still has a factory discount and I have one person interested in seeing it again when he gets back from business travel -- I know that he was quoted a really, really, good price --- with the one stipulation that we could show the boat at Annapolis in October.

That's interesting info Mike I'll be curious to here the details as to the omission as you guys learn more. Looks like my friends on south river are having a raft up if I'm over that way I'll stop by and say hello.

Brendan - you've been talkin' about a bigger boat for a while now. Better pull the trigger and support the economy!

What's up buddy! Pretty set on a 458/475 and there hasn't been a used inventory in two years. Bought waterfront property and had a 50' slip installed so needless to say I'm ready.

I haven't called to check the availability or status of either, but there are 2 active listings for 458/475's. both are 09s. Neither are local though.

Thanks Mike. I've had extensive conversations on all them - the one in FL and abroad. The Fl 458 we were unable to agree on price/terms.

I figured you would have been all over them. The 458, if I remember correctly, was on the Mississippi.

Regarding the omission -- this is 3rd or 4th hand, but I've been told that "Four Winns really doesn't know what they want to do with the 475." It is not on the 2016 pricing sheet and they are not including it in their advertising, but I was also told that "they would build one if someone was interested in one." I guess that doesn't bode well for the used market.

Hope you make it to/near the South River and we have a chance to meet sometime soon.

Interesting. Might actually bode well for me in terms of it being essentially discontinued and the affect that potentially has on resale value. The 320 I think it is took a pretty big hit when the 338 hull came out.

Brendan, get the biggest boat you can for your dock space. If you don't, you will wish you did. 50' dock, but can you overhang? Maybe find a 53'.

You might have to skip the 40's!
