After 6 weeks of solid weekend work, she finally got wet this weekend! In typical rainy Melbourne fashion, the whole darn boat got wet! |

The g/f and I got our boat out a couple weeks ago. Having it out in April was the earliest we have had it out before. Beautiful evening in the 60's. The ride back to the launch was a bit chillier once the sun went down. I can not wait for the warm weather to show up for good. IMG_2911 by Steven Kowalchuk, on Flickr |

Finally had some nice friday night weather this past week. The g/f and I took a river cruise through downtown Milwaukee. We got to stop at a couple bars and almost had the river to our selves most of the night. The river cruise looks like fun. Is it all no wake? |

The whole river system in downtown is slow no wake until you exit onto Lake Michigan. The loop we do is about 7 miles long from the port through downtown. There are a lot of restaurants/bars along the whole way. The city also has some public parking docks which is nice. It's a nice change compared to the normal inland lakes and it is perfect night boat trip. |

I've been slacking. Here is a quick collage of a couple recent trips out. My 6 year old daughter got to ride a tube for the first time. That was a pretty fun, getting to experience memories from my childhood as a dad. Going to be braving Memeorial day weekend this weekend. Wish me luck. |

Thinking maybe next year, we'll head back up to lake Michigan and do that trip again with our boat! |

Maybe we'll do that sometime soon since it's not that far of a drive. |

Maybe we'll do that sometime soon since it's not that far of a drive. We launched at south shore park which is right next to the south shore yacht club. $12.50 launch fee. Then it is about a 15 minute ride to the river from there, that is including the ride through the marina that is slow no wake. |
